Over nine years after a 22-year-old accused of chain snatching died in police custody after allegedly being subjected to third-degree torture and electric shocks, a Bhopal District Court has ordered the filing of charges against eight people, including a former jailer, police officials and a doctor. 

The charges will include conspiracy to commit murder, destruction of evidence and other serious offences.

The framework and legal system  has no basis and grounds for this kind of complaint .

Look at it objectively :

All are allowed to practice their faiths and some are more involved than others .

Facts are as you have described , if the children are under 18  custody will be as per law , most cases mother if they can prove care time and finances. 

You need to figure a middle ground to be a part of the kids lives , and live by your own belief.

Gathering data , or videos etc , will not help , even if you manage to file a case it will come up for hearing 10 years later , by then you have messed up life , and then it will mess up even more .

Sure there are better ways to handle this . Find one .

You can file a case on the grounds of cruelty.

So my family, including extended was involved in a Reiki cult. Some saw through the act on the first meet, other got disillusioned after wasting 20 years . 

One suggestion could be to let it be. These cult's provide a sense of community to people. This is if assuming they aren't doing something weird. Hell you can go with them, not with belief in your heart, but as a guardian. You can even have fun with them, praise them with an almost indiscernible mocking tone. Give them credit for something they know they didn't do shit. "arre baba jab se aaya hua aapki mahanta se mere back ka pain kaise theek ho gaya" 

This also allows you to keep your  kids close and make sure their reasoning skills develop. Once that happens they will reject the cult automatically. Many in family did..

I think the film industry has influenced cops to act without impunity. They probably think it’s within their right after watching movies where “good” cops beat up “bad” people and of course after the power trip it gives them they probably find it hard to stop

The courts took 27 years to give a verdict on an open and shut case. This is the denial of justice, just salt in the wound. 


This guy lost 27 years of his life in jail for being honest while the ones who put him there have destroyed many more lives and should've been jailed instead.

There should a statute of limitation and prioritization. Cases against civil servants should have the highest priority and if it cannot be solved within 5 years, every passing year, the prioritization of cases involving civil servants should increase, after 5 years cases will be lapsed. Also cases cannot be bought 5 years after incident.

Yes many criminals will use this to escape but also innocents will not be punished. Anyway our country is run by 5% civil servant who not only neytralize the corrupting influence of 95 % of civil servants but also take the country forward. We must do everything in our capability to safe guard the 5%.
